First Place Award in #50PreciousWords

Vivian Kirkfield (and team) awarded Sarah first place out of 677 entries in the 2026 #50PreciousWords competition for their nonfiction mini-story, DANA REACHES BEYOND.

Written in communication with Dana, this 50-word kidlit story describes how disabled NASA engineer, Dana Bolles, participated in a zero-gravity flight with AstroAccess to help increase accessibility in space travel.

The competition awarded Sarah with a prize (to be announced soon).
